Aftercare & Alumni Support

Treatment is the beginning, not the end. Aftercare keeps the structure you built in treatment working in everyday life — continued therapy, regular check-ins and a community of people who understand exactly what you have been through.

What is aftercare planning?

Aftercare planning is the work of deciding what happens next, before you leave. Your clinical team builds the plan with you during treatment: which level of care you step down to, who you keep seeing, how medication is managed, what your weekly routine looks like, and who to call when a week goes badly.

Because every Quadrant Health Group programme treats addiction and mental health together, an aftercare plan covers both — relapse prevention alongside ongoing psychiatric and therapeutic support.

What aftercare includes

  • Continued individual and group therapy, in person or through our Virtual IOP
  • Scheduled check-ins with your care team rather than open-ended "call if you need us"
  • Medication management and psychiatric follow-up where it is part of your care
  • Referral and coordination with sober living, if that is the right next step
  • Family support, so the people around you know how to help

The alumni community

Alumni support is the part that lasts. Our alumni programme keeps you connected long after discharge — peer support, events, and people at every stage of recovery who have been where you are.

For many clients this becomes the most durable part of their recovery: a standing reason to stay connected, and somewhere to turn early rather than late.

Why aftercare matters

The weeks and months after treatment are when structure disappears and old routines are closest at hand. Aftercare replaces that structure deliberately instead of leaving it to willpower.

It is also the point where a seamless continuum of care earns its keep: because Quadrant Health Group operates every level from detox through outpatient, stepping down does not mean starting over with a new team or repeating your story.

Frequently asked questions

During treatment, not at the end of it. Your clinical team builds the plan with you well before discharge so nothing is decided in a rush on your last day.

The structured part is usually measured in months and steps down over time. Alumni support has no end date — it is available for life, at whatever level of contact suits you.

Often, yes. Continued therapy and outpatient programming are commonly covered; our admissions team will verify your benefits for free and tell you exactly what your plan includes before you commit to anything.
